About Us

We’re a movement powered by purpose.
Since 2018, we’ve been on a mission to rewrite the story for underserved women and girls across Nigeria.
We don’t believe in charity. We believe in change, the kind that starts with a skill, grows into confidence, and leads to lasting impact.
Our work is rooted in the belief that no woman is too poor to rise, and no girl is too young to dream.

Our Vision
A future where women are not just surviving, but thriving.
We envision a world where gender no longer determines destiny.
A world where girls are educated, women are empowered, and equality isn’t a buzzword, it’s a lived reality.
Our Mission
To break cycles of poverty by giving women what they’ve always had—potential.
We fight poverty with purpose.
From turning trash into income through recycling, to giving women digital skills, business knowledge, and confidence—our mission is clear:
Give women the tools, and they’ll build the future.
Our Impact So Far

We don’t just talk about empowerment, we live it.
Since the day we started, lives have been transformed, dreams have been rebuilt, and voices once silenced are now leading change.
Here’s what we’ve achieved together:

Women Trained

In rural communities across Nigeria, women have gained hands-on skills in recycling, soap making, Adire (tie & dye), Ankara bag production, and more. These aren’t just crafts—they’re income streams, lifelines, and paths to independence.

Students Reached

From Lagos primary and secondary schools, young minds have been introduced to the power of recycling and upcycling. We’re raising a generation that doesn’t just dream of a better world—they build it.

Women Empowered with Capital

Empowerment isn’t complete without resources. That’s why over 4,000 women have received financial support to launch small businesses—giving them the freedom to provide for their families and rewrite their stories with dignity.

Behind every number is a face. A family. A future.
And we’re just getting started.

Our Origin

Karis and Eleos began with a burden—one we couldn’t ignore.
We saw the impact of human activity on the environment. We saw women struggling in silence. We saw communities left behind.
And we decided to act.
Our foundation was born from the desire to restore dignity—to both people and planet.
By championing sustainable living, economic empowerment, and community-based solutions, we’re not just responding to problems—we’re rewriting futures.
Everything we do aligns with the global goals for a better world (SDGs), but our heartbeat is simple:
To heal, to empower, and to leave the earth better than we found it.

Why We Exist

Because when you empower a woman, you empower a home, a street, a city, an entire generation.
We’re not waiting for change. We’re becoming it.

Our Strategy: Empowering from the Ground Up

We believe poverty isn’t just the absence of money—it’s the absence of opportunity.
And for women and girls, especially in underserved communities, access to that opportunity begins with one thing: knowledge.

Our approach is simple but powerful:

  • We equip women and girls with the skills, education, and confidence they need to thrive—not just survive. Because labour is often their only asset, we help them turn it into a tool for self-reliance, dignity, and financial freedom.
  • We position women to succeed — through hands-on skills training, business education, and vocational empowerment.
  • We prioritize access to education — because real change begins when a girl knows her worth and sees her power.
We focus on the most overlooked — because the deepest impact happens when we reach the most vulnerable.

Our mission is bold:
To end poverty and gender inequality by educating and empowering women and girls—creating a ripple effect that transforms families, communities, and generations.

Why We Start with Girls

The hearts of young girls are the soil where lasting change begins.
That’s why we go beyond adult training—we step into schools, meet girls where they are, and spark transformation early.
We don’t just talk to them about their future.
We show them how to build it.
